David Egbert, MPT, CSCS, Owner and Practicing Physiotherapist, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture

David has a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a focus on Athletic Therapy and a Master of Physical Therapy from the California State University Sacramento (CSUS). David has been a member of the Admissions Committee at CSUS and a clinical instructor providing education to physical therapy interns for CSUS.

While living in California he gained experience mostly working in the orthopedic outpatient physical therapy setting.  As an endurance athlete he has experience the benefits of physiotherapy first hand.

Today, as an endurance runner, mountain biker and kayaker, he is ever-conscious of the need for the body to work pain-free as he enjoys the active lifestyle he wishes for all his patients.

After moving to Ontario David developed his skills in contemporary medical acupuncture at McMaster University.

He has extensive continuing education in sports medicine rehabilitation, manual physiotherapy techniques and a diverse background in orthopedic, neurological, pediatric and geriatric care.  David is also Strength and Conditioning Specialist and also specializes in custom orthotic fitting.

He is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and the Ontario Physiotherapy Association.

David has made Ontario his home. He has a wife and son that enjoy spending time together either on the trails, on the slopes or in the water at the cottage.


Christine Watts, RN and Office Manager

Registered nurse Christine Watts has been office manager for both clinics for the past 11 years.

With a Bachelour of Health Sciences degree from Humber College (1999) and her Registered Nursing degree from Georgian College (2001), she also obtained a degree in palliative care and geriatrics from University of Guelph in 2001.

She also has training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.

Married with two boys, aged 15 and 7, and two Siberian Huskies, she enjoys baseball, swimming, dog sledding, sketching and any outdoor activities.

Jenna Beatty, BSc HK, MSc PT, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture

Jenna Beatty is now in her third year as a physiotherapist at Shelburne Physiotherapy working with a variety of musculoskeletal and neurological injuries with individuals of all age groups.

She has a Bachelour of Science with Honours in Human Kinetics from the University of Ottawa, a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Toronto, and a diploma from McMaster University in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture.

Prior to joining Shelburne she has residencies working in long term continuing care, inpatient hospital based therapy, pediatric and orthopedics.

Originally from Johnstown, Ontario, she moved to Orangeville to pursue her position at Shelburne Physiotherapy.

“The area and people quickly made me feel at home,” she says.

“I chose Shelburne Physiotherapy as my first job for its strong values on individualized care, therapeutic exercise and experienced and friendly staff.”

When she is not working she can often be found training with or responding for the Orangeville Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. She enjoys playing competitive soccer in Orangeville, Crossfit, and outdoor activities.

Jenna went into physical therapy as a career because she has always had a passion to help people and believed that physical therapy has the ability to really improve people’s quality of life.

“It is a dynamic field which is ever challenging and changing,” she explains. “No person or injury is the same, which makes for a challenging and fulfilling career.”


Whitney Montgomery, Registered Massage Therapist

Whitney Montgomery has been a Registered Massage Therapist since 2011 after graduating from a three-year massage therapy program.

She started at Shelburne Physiotherapy in January, 2012.

She says she always enjoys working hard to achieve her clients’ massage therapy goals.

Whitney has experience in many different massage therapy modalities including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, palliative care, sports massage, post-surgical therapy and rehabilitation and relaxation massage.

She also treats clients through WSIB and MVA Insurance.

Whitney looks forward to helping clients decrease their pain and discomfort. She also believes strongly in using massage therapy as a prevention tool to improve everyday living.

She enjoys volunteering in her hometown with various community groups, camping, playing baseball and spending time with family.


Leoni Petrasthuk, Registered Massage Therapist

Leoni Petrasthuk has a degree in Massage Therapy from Everest College.

She is a member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and has certification in hot stone massage.

She has been practicing since 2009 and has experience in Swedish massage.

She has worked in the Shelburne Physiotherapy clinic since 2011, working with catastrophic patients, rheumatoid arthritis patients, multiple sclerosis patients and those in various stages of recovery from workplace and auto accident injuries.

A wife and mother to three boys, she likes to be with her family and enjoys cooking and reading.
