DAVID EGBERT
Owner
MSCPT, BSC (HON), CSCS
Registered Physiotherapist, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Shift Concussion Provider, Strength and Conditioning
David has over 25 years of extensive experience in sports medicine rehabilitation, manual physiotherapy techniques which includes diverse background in orthopaedic, neurological, pediatric and geriatric care.
David enjoys the outdoor and has competed at a high level in endurance sports.
He is also Co-Owner of Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race Inc.
CHRISTINE WATTS
Clinic Manager
RN
Christine has been an integral part of Shelburne Physiotherapy Centre since 2002, serving as the Clinic Manager. Her educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Health Science from the University of Guelph and Humber College, where she graduated with honors and was the valedictorian of her class in 2000. Further specializing, she earned a degree in Geriatrics and Palliative Care from Georgian College in 2001.
Christine enjoys reading, hiking, and spending time outdoors with her dogs and family.
TAYLOR FLEMING,
Registered Massage Therapist
Taylor graduated from Oxford College Massage Therapy program with honours. Taylor worked in a support role in her previous career, and is looking forward to providing a more hands on approach in helping her clients feel their best.
Taylor has a special interest in sports massage therapy as well as massage therapy for the use of preventative maintenance and injury rehabilitation. Her treatments encompass a therapeutic benefit as well as relaxation.
In her free time you will find Taylor spending time with her children, riding horses or at the gym.
ARSHPREET DEOL,
Registered Ontario Physiotherapy , Athletic Therapist
Arshpreet Deol, who goes by the name of Arsh, graduated with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University and graduated with a Specialized Honors Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) and Certificate in Athletic Therapy from York University.
Arsh currently holds certifications in soft tissue release, first responder, movement, and performance optimization.
In his spare time, Arsh enjoys playing and watching basketball (go raptors go!), lifting weights at the gym, binge-watching shows or movies, and spending time outdoors with friends!
LARISA SLIPENKYJ,
PT, BSC (HON)
Registered Ontario Physiotherapist
Larisa completed her BHSc at Western University in 2016 in Health sciences. She studied physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed a BSc in physiotherapy with first class honours.
Larisa has been at Shelburne physiotherapy since 2019. Larisa strives to help her patients to get back to doing what they love with the use of manual therapy techniques, cupping, acupuncture and dry needling, and tailored exercise programs. She has also completed training courses in mulligans concept, and breast cancer rehab.
Outside of work Larisa is usually spending time with her family and 3 dogs.
NICKY HEINZ
Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy Assistant
Nicky graduated from the TriOs College PTA/OTA program in 2021 with highest honours. Nicky is also Bonefit Certified and runs our Osteofit program in collaboration with the Dufferin Area Family Health Team. Nicky has a backround in Fitness previously working as a Personal Trainer, Group Fitness Instructor and Martial Arts Instructor. After working in aviation as a flight attendant for 13 years she decided to go back to her roots and now is a versatile and knowledgeable PTA at our clinic.
Nicky enjoys spending time at the rink watching her kids play hockey, cooking and travel.
ALEX DUBE
Registered Massage Therapist
Alex Dubé is a graduate of the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, and earned his degree in 2020.
Alex employs an up-to-date and evidence-based approach to his practice. His professional interests primarily revolve around sports injury prevention, optimization, and treatment. He is dedicated to continually expanding his clinical skills and enjoys learning more about the physiotherapy side of his profession.
Alex spends his free time with his wife and dog, and enjoys woodworking and exercising.
DIPAK CHUNARA, PT
Registered Ontario Physiotherapist
Dipak completed his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in India in 2012 from Gujarat University.
Dipak has experience in a variety of patients in orthopaedics, geriatrics, home care, burns and stroke rehabilitation.
Dipak earned a Fitness And Health Promotion Diploma in 2014 from Humber College Ontario and has taken several courses in dry needling Acupuncture.
In his spare time Dipak enjoys summer adventures and especially loves travelling.
JUSTIN TAYLOR
Physiotherapy Aide
This little stud muffin is Justin. Justin has been around Shelburne Physiotherapy since he was 6-7 years old, has grown into a very knowledgeable university dropout with awesome hair.
His mother may not be proud of him, but we support his life choices and love his work ethic. Justin loves his shoes, especially Jordan’s, so be sure to wear your best when you come for treatment!
When he is not busy carrying the clinic on his shoulders, he likes to spend his time playing games, building his business, hitting the gym and spending time with his family!
ALLY TOOP
Registered Massage Therapist
Alex (who goes by Ally) graduated from the Massage Therapy program at Fanshawe College in 2019.
She has always been interested in rehabilitation therapy and working with others in a multidisciplinary setting,
just like Shelburne Physiotherapy Center.
Ally's primary focus is providing and following the best treatment plan possible and is looking forward to seeing the progression of her clients.
In her free time, you will find Ally hanging out with her friends, going to concerts or spending her time painting.
CASSIDY ANYON
Kinesiologist
Cassidy completed a Bachelor of Science in Honours Kinesiology from McMaster University where she captained the women’s lacrosse team.
Cassidy has experience working with a wide variety of individuals from high performance athletes to spinal cord injury patients. She has a profound passion for helping others and working hard with them to get them back to feeling like their best selves!
In her free time, Cassidy enjoys going to the gym, watching sports and spending time with her family and dogs.
MERCEDES MOORE
Office Receptionist
Mercedes has worked in customer service and reception since 2017, and joined the team in 2023.
As someone with a physical disability, Mercedes is passionate about meeting our patients with compassion and kindness. She has an intimate knowledge of how intimidating recovery can be, and offers a unique perspective as someone who has been through it.
Mercedes is a loving and dedicated dog and bunny mom. She enjoys spending her free time in the sun, never says no to a day at the beach or on the water, or hanging out with family and friends
DIVITA SARJOO
Physiotherapy Aide
Divita has been working with Shelburne Physiotherapy Center since she was 15.
She has learned how amazing the human body is and how to stick up for herself.
Although she obsesses about making sure everything is perfect, even if it means licking the windows to get them clean, at the end of the night, we still love her!
She enjoys spending time with her family,
traveling, and driving into curbs occasionally.
Divita would like to follow in the physiotherapist's footsteps and do an undergraduate in kinesiology. Then a master's in physiotherapy, hoping to have just as many exceptional patients and
co-workers!
CHRIS MAYER
Physiotherapy assistant
Chris graduated from the Occupational Therapist Assistant & Physiotherapist Assistant program at Georgian College in 2016. Chris has been working as a PTA for
six years, and in that time he has helped treat people with everything from sprains, sports injuries, MS, and Parkinson’s. Chris especially loves working with athletes and getting them back to participating in the sport they love so passionately. He also is
rock tape certified.
In his free time, Chris keeps himself busy by working on his photography business, boxing, sketching, and doing yoga. He and his wife, Sarah, love hiking and exploring different towns and spending time with their black cat named Sophie.
AMANDA KORBELAS
Office administrator
Amanda graduated with a diploma in Social Service Work (SSW) from Georgian Collage in 2023, and is currently working towards her Bachelors in Addictions and Mental health.
Amanda loves the relationships she has created with SPC's clients and the family she has found within Shelburne Physiotherapy team.
Not only is Amanda a dedicated mother, she also runs her own small business, Spirit Babe.co.
In her spare time Amanda enjoys to write poetry, has two published books in chapter indigo and loves to spend time outdoors. Hiking, portaging and camping.
