David has over 25 years of extensive experience in sports medicine rehabilitation, manual physiotherapy techniques which includes diverse background in orthopedic, neurological, pediatric and geriatric care.

 

David enjoys the outdoor and has competed at a high level in endurance sports. He is also Co-Owner of Primal Quest Expedition Adventure Race Inc.

CHRISTINE WATTS | RN

Christine has been a key person at Shelburne Physiotherapy for over 19 years. She obtained a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from Humber College (1999) combined with a  Registered Nursing degree from Georgian College (2001).

 

Christine also achieved a degree in palliative care and geriatrics from University of Guelph in 2001 with training in Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid.

Lisa joined the Shelburne Physiotherapy Team in 2021.

 

She brings with her 8 years of experience supporting physicians in the community.

 

She enjoys greeting each and every client at the front desk and building individual relationships with each person. Lisa enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.

LARISA SLIPENKYJ | BSC (HON)

Ont. PT Resident

Larisa completed her BHSc at Western University in 2016 in Health Sciences. She studied physiotherapy at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed a BSc in Physiotherapy in 2019 with first class honours. ​

 

Larisa also received the student research award from the Irish Society of Charted Physiotherapists in her final year research project.

 

Larisa enjoys running, reading, and travelling.

JASLEEN GREWAL | MPT

Registered Physiotherapist

 

  

Jasleen completed her Bachelor’s in Physical Therapy in India and went Master’s (Neurological) in from England. She has experience treating patients with a variety of orthopaedic and neurological conditions. 

Jasleen has successfully worked with patients in both hospital and clinical settings, with a special interest in neurological rehabilitation, acupuncture and dry needling. She believes in empowering the patient to take charge of their health. 

GUNDEEP BRAR BSc PT

Registered Physiotherapist

Gundeep obtained her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Punjabi University, India, in 2010. She worked in Delhi, Chandigarh and now in Canada treating a wide variety of conditions including post-operative rehabilitation, arthritis, whiplash injuries, acute sports injuries, repetitive strain, neurological conditions, and chronic pain.

 

Gundeep also graduated in Fitness and health promotion in 2015 to round out her expertise in exercise prescription.

Her strength is her ability to listen to her clients and provide the education they need to have a successful recovery.

AMANDA JONES MPT, PELVIC FLOOR

Registered Physiotherapist

 

  

Amanda Jones is a graduate from the Masters of Physiotherapy Program at McMaster University. She has advanced training in pelvic health physiotherapy, which involves treating pelvic organ prolapse, incontinence and pelvic girdle pain in both females and males.

 

In addition, Amanda provides breast cancer rehabilitation services including scar tissue and lymphoedema management, as well as manual therapy and exercises to improve range of motion, posture and function.

MEGAN LAMONT | BScKin (Hon), PTA

Kinesiologists/Physiotherapy Assistant

Megan graduated from Univ. Western Ont. and Georgian College with honours. She combines her  academic knowledge and work experience in out-patient physiotherapy and long-term care facilities, she has gained knowledge and experience working with musculoskeletal injuries and degenerative conditions.

AMANDA KOZLUK

R.Kin, CAT(C) PC 

Amanda completed her BSc. In Kinesiology at the University of Guelph, as well as graduated from Sheridan College with a BAHS in Athletic Therapy (honors) at Sheridan College.

 

She has extensive knowledge in anatomy, exercise progression/sport specific exercise and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal injuries. Combining the knowledge of rehabilitation techniques, therapeutic exercise and sport specific activity she aims to get every individual back to their active daily living. She has experience working with patients ranging from the elite athlete to the weekend warrior.

THEO PARUSIS

Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T)

Theo graduated from Sutherland-Chan, Teaching School of Massage Therapy in 1998. With 23 years of experience, he prides himself with helping clients regain and retain function in work, play, and rest. His massages are both therapeutic and relaxing by combining deep and specific massage techniques along with relaxing techniques to target pain and injury and help return the client to optimal health. He has extensive experience working with back and neck pain, sciatica, work-related tension, headaches, repetitive strain, chronic stress and a variety of other conditions and maladies. He uses Swedish massage, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, joint mobilizations, and hydrotherapy. He can also implement a home care program of stretching that will ensure the clients continued progress.
Theo has taught massage therapy for over 2 years, ran a student clinic in that time, and has been a part of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario with the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee for a 3 year term and a 3 year term Quality Assurance as a Peer Assessor.

JESSICA BRICKER

Registered Massage Therapist (R.M.T)

Jessica graduated from Georgian College with an Advanced Diploma in Massage Therapy.

She has clinical experience in prenatal, sports, and critical care massage. Jess also has outreach experience in palliative cancer and geriatric massage.

In her free time Jess enjoys yoga, horseback riding, reading and being outdoors.

JILL POTTER-HELLMANN

Personal Trainer | Pilates Instructor

Jill has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a diploma in Recreation.
For almost 30 years, Jill has been a Personal Trainer and a Group Fitness Instructor.  

 

She is certified as both a Pilates Mat and Pilates Reformer instructor. Jill has focused on the use of Pilates in post-rehabilitation, earning certification as a Post Rehabilitation PIlates Specialist.
